About Me

I am a BACP-registered counsellor and supervisor with over 10 years of experience providing counselling and mental health support. I hold a Level 6 qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as Level 6 Clinical Supervision. My work has included one-to-one sessions, groups and workshops, supporting individuals in a range of settings, including local charities, students, occupational health and NHS clients.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that everyone’s journey is unique. While people may experience similar challenges, their emotions and responses are deeply personal—there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ in counselling. My approach is centred on creating a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace, feeling truly heard and supported.

Alongside my core counselling practice, I have additional training and experience in areas such as animal-assisted therapy, equine-assisted therapy, LGBTQIA+ support, domestic violence, trauma (including childhood trauma), incident debriefing and working with health professionals and emergency services.

I am passionate about the transformative power of counselling and the strength that can come from self-exploration and growth. My aim is to help you find clarity, build resilience and develop strategies that support your wellbeing in a way that feels right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I arrange my first counselling session?

To arrange your first counselling session, fill in the contact form or send me an email. I will get in touch as soon as possible to arrange a free 20-minute initial meeting. This meeting is an opportunity for us to discuss what brings you to counselling, what you hope to gain, and how we might work together. You can ask any questions and get a sense of my approach to see if I’m the right fit for you.
Some clients come to counselling with a clear issue in mind, while others seek support without fully understanding what they are experiencing—both are completely okay. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Our work together can help bring clarity and support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental space.

  • How much do sessions counselling cost?

Sessions are £50 for 50 minutes. Concessionary rates are available and can be discussed based on individual circumstances. I offer 10% discount on block booked sessions of 6.

  • What to expect for your first counselling session?

Your first counselling session is a space to explore your needs, goals and any concerns you may have. We will discuss how counselling works, including confidentiality and boundaries so you can feel comfortable and informed. This session is about getting to know you at your own pace—there’s no pressure to share more than you are ready to. My focus is on creating a supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood.

  • When are sessions available?

I have a variety of availability seven days a week. I can also offer evening sessions Tuesday – Thursday.
